📊 2026 Tax Rate

The Board adopted a 2026 tax rate of $0.86 per $100 of taxable value – a 3.4% decrease from the previous year’s rate of $0.89.

💰 2027 Budget Approval

The Board approved the 2027 operating budget based on the newly adopted $0.86 tax rate. View the approved budget HERE.

✅ Projects Completed or Nearing Completion

The following projects have been completed or are being finalized:

  • Roadway and sidewalk repairs throughout the community
  • Roadway striping improvements
  • Removal of right-of-way trees obstructing traffic signs
  • Riprap installation along the Indigo/Grange and Maydelle creek areas
  • Installation of landscaping beds
  • Culvert cleanouts at Brenham and Cypress/Eastland
  • Brenham Creek cleanout and wildflower installation
  • Sweetwater fence repair near Avondale Court
  • Irrigation system and well pump repairs and improvements

🚧 Homestead Court Right-of-Way

The Board is developing a new right-of-way order establishing rules for the use of Homestead Court and its sidewalks. Additional details will be shared once the order is finalized.

👤 Staffing Update

The Board approved hiring Jeff Miles as part-time General Manager and Steve Wilson as Chief Operations Officer. The vote was unanimous among voting directors, with Director Miles abstaining.

Jeff will oversee the District’s administrative functions, including resident inquiries through email and SeeClickFix, District communications, and public relations. Steve will manage daily field operations, oversee project completion, and carry out Board-directed initiatives throughout the community.

The Board believes this staffing structure will provide effective service to residents while maintaining responsible oversight of District spending.

📅 Looking Ahead:

The District has made significant progress in repairing and restoring irrigation systems in partnership with Woodlake, alongside continued improvements to sidewalks, streets, and other community infrastructure.

These efforts will remain a priority in 2027 as the District invests in the community’s long-term maintenance and upkeep.
