Texas Parks & Wildlife recently stocked 1,000 fingerling Lone Star Bass into several district-owned lakes as part of our ongoing fishery enhancement efforts.
Lone Star Bass are a selective Florida-strain largemouth bass known for their aggressive growth and ability to reach trophy size under the right conditions. These stockings help improve long-term fishing quality and strengthen the overall lake ecosystem.
This follows the stocking of 200+ adult bass this past fall to help supplement, establish and accelerate a healthy fish population.
We appreciate Texas Parks & Wildlife’s partnership and look forward to these fish continuing to grow for residents to enjoy for years to come.
